Kids Reacquainted with Railway History
Despite a rainy start, a range of fun packed cultural performances, games and activities, were held in the spacious Jaekel House garden. On Saturday 27 May Legacy organised various activities at the historic Railway Compound Ebute Metta to mark Children’s Day.
Over 60 children from various schools attended the event, which included an exhibition of pictures of historic railway artefacts from around Nigeria, and also a Nigerian philatelic exhibition. As well as a tour of the Jaekel House Mini Museum, the children were able to visit the newly constructed Ebute Metta Railway Terminal. Legacy Vice –President Mr Taiye Olaniyi, coordinated the whole event and other Legacy members in attendance included the Hon. Secretary Lateefah Olajide.
